Berlin: 2014

Parklife developed a result of my friendship with Marc.

He was one of the first friends I made in Berlin. The moment I spotted him working in the local ice cream shop, I could somehow see myself in him at the age of 22. His body language and appearance intrigued me, and I decided to become friends with him.

One day I left my number with one of his colleagues, and a few weeks later, he called. We met in my studio, had a chat, and took our first pictures. Marc became the original Poika. Over the years, he's been a muse and a great friend.

Steffen was working as a hairstylist close to that same ice cream shop. Steffen and Marc already knew each other vaguely.

One warm summer day, we went to Treptower Park to play Frisbee and take some pictures. Marc's friend Kevin also joined us, and Parklife was created.
